| Alarm
monitoring of panic bars on emergency exit doors can be carried
out using any of the following solutions whilst allowing people
to escape with a one handed operation in the event of an emergency
in accordance with EN1125: |
|
Mechanical ExitPanicbarAlarm – protects the panic bar
with a horizontally adjustable trigger angle. When the panic
bar is pushed the red upper fixing clip of the security seal
breaks off and the door can be used |
 |
ExitPanicbarAlarm
– this battery operated panic bar alarm does not require
wiring and is therefore simple to install. The unit is either
glued or screwed to the door leaf and the trigger angle is attached
to the alarm unit with a red fixing clip. The angle is then
adjusted so that it is situated underneath the panic bar. When
the panic bar is used the fixing clip breaks off and an acoustic
alarm is activated. The unit can only be switched off by an
authorised person using a key and is reactivated by attaching
a new clip |
 |
ExitDoorShield
for Panic Bars – an adaptation of ExitDoorShield
(see separate section) which enables the unit to be fitted
underneath the panic bar. The operation advantages of this
unit are that it offers single or continuous release, incorporates
an acoustic and optical alarm and can be used on all protruding
panic bars. |
